Terms and Conditions for Off-Site Creche Provision

1          All crèches will be lead by a worker qualified to NNEB/BTEC/NVQ III or equivalent in Early Years Care. Crèche assistants will be experienced in childcare and undertaking further training. All Greenfields’ childcare workers are CRB checked.

 2         All crèche staff are under the management and supervision of Greenfields’          Centre Limited. All Greenfields’ chilldcare workers undertake continued training and development and on site visits will be carried out by the Centre’s management on a regular basis. Staff will be wearing Greenfields’ uniforms and identification at all times when on duty.

3          Crèches may only be provided in an area deemed safe for children, with a fire     exit clear from obstruction, suitable toilet facilities, access to running water and a telephone. If the proposed setting for the crèche is not OFSTED registered, we will organise a site visit to carry out a risk assessment prior to providing a crèche.

4          The price list is the charge per crèche which includes 2 workers for 2½ hours       or 3 workers for 2½ hours. We allow 15 minutes either side of a 2 hour crèche for setting out and clearing up equipment and registering and collecting children (Crèche workers will leave work areas in a clean and tidy state).

5          Additional workers will be charged at an hourly rate depending on their qualifications.

6          If children are collected late and Greenfields workers are required to remain in the setting beyond the agreed time, additional charges will be made to the nearest fifteen minutes. Staff may be required to go on to other settings and therefore parents who are continually late may be asked not to bring their child any longer.

7          Settings should have adequate current liability insurance, evidence of which is required by Greenfields.

8          Any grievance by a parent relating to the care of their child should be addressed directly to the crèche leader. If any grievance is not dealt with to the parent’s satisfaction, they will be provided with a copy of Greenfields’ complaints procedure to enable them to take up their grievance directly with the Centre’s Management.

9          If management or staff at the setting have grievance relating to Greenfields’         staff or service delivery, they should report to their own Centre Manager who will contact Greenfields’ Centre Manager to discuss details.

10        Crèches which are cancelled less than 24 hours before the time booked will be charged at full rate. Crèches cancelled between 24 and 48 hours will be charged at 50%. Crèches cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the time for which they are booked will not be charged. (This includes working days only; i.e. a crèche due to take place on Monday which is cancelled on Friday will be charged for).
